- There is an app on Edmodo called SchoolTube (cute name!) which allows the learning community to share videos which can enhance the lesson in a creative and interesting manner.
- When dealing with a group, there is an option to create a quiz for those who are part of the group and you can choose any type you want, multiple choice, true false, matching, etc.
- The Discover function is a favorite of mine, as in one click , I can access a whole lot of information pertaining to any topic I may be teaching at the moment, and I can instantly share it as well.
- The Insights function allows me to keep up with my students' performances and reactions which I think is great for future reference and allows me to create improved future lessons based on the feedback I can derive from this function.
- The Student Badges is another great feature that is also a great incentive and allows me to award badges on a student's profile page, or on the members tab of a group. Recognizing a student's achievement is crucial to any classroom as positive reinforcement can only enhance a student's learning.

Edmodo
Edmodo is a social networking sight that allows a teacher to interact with other teachers which gives teachers opportunities to share ideas and teaching strategies. It also allows students to interact with their class and teacher online which hopefully allows for a safe, creative, and educational outlet. Since students today are so involved with social-networking, it'll pique their interest and perhaps motivate them to get more involved with their learning if lessons and assignments are presented to them in a manner they are familiar with and appreciate. There are different functions of Edmodo that enhance instruction and here are five of them below:

The discover icon is very easy to help us as teacher find more materials on a certain topic and I also would like to utilize the badge application to give students incentives. It adds to the "gaming" topics we have been discussing lately by adding incentive based awards to motivate the students.
